About me

Peace be upon you. I am Owais Ahmed.

I work in management consulting, I build applications and AI models, and I finish my Data Science degree this year.

I started in high school with game development. I never made a game worth mentioning, but I came away with something that stayed with me: how to break a large problem into small steps that can be solved one at a time. After that I moved to applications and websites. Some are still running today, some died in a folder on my machine, and I am not embarrassed by the second kind.

Today I work as a researcher and proposal writer with Al-Ruwad Group, and as an assistant consultant at Kaizen Consulting. With the team I have prepared more than 200 competitive proposals. The most important thing I learned from my colleagues is that a client rarely explains their real problem in the first meeting, and that your job is to get to it before you start the work.

The other half of my work is turning numbers into something you can look at and understand: more than 20 dashboards and infographics, and 5 company profiles.

And I ask Allah to make things easy for me and for you.

What I do

200+ proposals

Technical proposals and company profiles

I build a proposal from the blank page: the narrative first, then the technical content, then the design. After 200 proposals I know the difference between one that gets read to the last page and one that gets skimmed and closed in the second minute.

20+ dashboards

Dashboards and data visualization

Nobody reads a spreadsheet with four thousand rows. Everybody reads one dashboard that answers the manager’s question in a minute. I start every dashboard with the same question: what decision will you make after looking at this screen?

React · TypeScript · Python · Flask · SQL

Systems and applications

Applications, websites, and internal admin panels. I use AI when it solves an actual problem, not when it makes the product look modern.

From a full day to seconds

Process automation

If someone on your team spends every Wednesday assembling the same report, that day can most likely be cut down. Send me a description of the process and I will tell you honestly whether it is worth automating.

Looking for something not listed here? ask me directly.

How I work

I start with the question, not the tool

Before I open Python or PowerPoint I ask: what decision depends on this output, and who will read it? I have seen projects executed flawlessly that answered a question nobody had asked.

An early draft, even an incomplete one

I send a first version you can criticize rather than disappearing for three weeks and returning with something that looks nothing like what you had in mind. Revising a draft is cheaper than rebuilding, and less awkward for both of us.

I hand over what someone else can maintain

I do not leave behind a system only I understand. Documentation is part of the handover, not an extra service you have to ask for.

Frequently asked

Both. I have worked with major consulting firms, and with individuals holding an idea on a sheet of paper who want to know whether it is worth pursuing.

A competitive proposal or a company profile: one to three weeks. A dashboard: roughly two weeks. A full application: it depends on scope, and we agree on the timeline before I start.

By scope, not by the hour. Once I understand what is needed I send a quote with a fixed price and a set duration. Anything outside that scope is agreed on before it is done, not after.

Yes. And I am based in Riyadh if the project needs in-person meetings.

A description of the problem, whatever data or material you already have, and who will ultimately use the result. The rest is on me.

Have an idea, or an Excel file you do not know what to do with?

Write me a three-line description. I will reply within 24 hours with a straight answer: either I can help you, or you are better off going another direction. The second answer is a real possibility, and I will say it without flattery.
